Château Luc de Beaumont is elaborated with the aim of offering a fruity, supple wine, while respecting the spirit of the terroir and the appellation. At once an ode to Merlot and Blayais, it is the ideal convivial wine.
Terroir
Clay-gravelly.
In the vineyard
Double Guyot pruning. Important prophylactic work. Selective shoot thinning after bud break. Regular soil maintenance and leaf removal allow for good aeration in the fruiting zone.
Harvest
At optimal ripeness (according to the terroirs) and systematic sorting of the grapes.
Winemaking
Maceration for 3 to 4 weeks depending on the vintage. Extraction by punching down and pumping over. Tank temperature control for better extraction control and aroma preservation (temperature maintained between 26° and 28°C).
Ageing
In stainless steel tanks with thermal regulation. Few rackings and wine handling before bottling. The goal is to preserve all the original fruit.
