Château Mazouet 2020

The vineyards amount to 6 ha all told and are located on the sandy plateau of the appellation. Overall, the mix of grape varieties is unusual for Saint-Emilion, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Yields are controlled strictly with grass implanting one row out of two. A good wine in its own right !

Reviews

90/100
"Attractive ripe berries with dried orange peel, sweet spices and nut shell. Medium-bodied with fine, polished tannins. Slightly tight still with hints of walnut and cedar. Chalky finish. Drink from 2024." [+]
88/100 - Bronze
"Black fruit, blackberries, black plum, and cassis. intense nose of clove, pepper, and toast, with a little more restraint on the palate. Tannins are well-integrated, but linger on the finish. " [+]
